Privacy policy
Last updated September 2026. Short version: this is a static website with no accounts, no forms and no trackers, so there is very little to tell you.
What we collect
Nothing directly. There are no user accounts, no login, no newsletter signup and no contact form. We do not ask for your name, address or payment details, and we could not sell your data if we wanted to because we do not have any.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request — for security and reliability. These are retained briefly and are not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. That is why you have not seen a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Because we hold essentially nothing, the answer to the first is usually 'nothing' — but email hello@boxcaterpillardisease.co.uk and we will confirm in writing.

The advice here is offered in good faith and reflects the author's own experience together with published guidance from bodies including the RHS. It is general information, not a professional diagnosis. Always read the label on any product you apply, follow the manufacturer's dose rates, and wear appropriate protective equipment. We cannot accept liability for plant losses or for any consequence of following advice on this site.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. The site is versioned in public, so material changes are visible in its history.
